On October 21, the streaming platform released the first preview of the long-awaited series, which is titled "Macondo." This is the first authorized audiovisual adaptation of the novel that narrates the comings and goings of the Buendía family. Its impact was so great that the novel has been translated into more than 45 languages, has approximately 400 editions, and in 2019 Netflix announced that it would be adapted into a series format. 55 years ago, one of the most important Colombian and Latin American literary works came to light, “One Hundred Years of Solitude", which led its author, Gabriel García Márquez, to be recognized worldwide and win the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982. There are fictitious places that adhere to our collective imagination and mark us in such a way that it becomes part of our culture.
